One of countless sketches and prints of birds in general, and herons in particular. This was my first ever woodcut. I found the wood I was using to splinter a little too easily, which led to spurs on some of the more delicate details, but in the end I actually appreciate the slightly woolly quality this creates. You can see the carved block below.
