Paper Fingers Press

I was browsing through on old issue of Heavy Metal and found an old comic by Mark Fisher that I really loved. I wanted to reproduce a section of it to work on fine textures and interpreting a piece of art into a different medium. I had to ditch a lot of the original shading, but had fun trying out different textures to different effect. On the black and white version above, I cut into the sides and folded it up into 3D rectangle, which ended up looking pretty neat! I also took some time to try adding colors in different ways, both on top of the black and white print and with rainbow/gradient inking. The gradient ended up working the best (pictured above)!
