Holiday card for 2024! I was poking around learning about Yule traditions and discovered that one of the many epithets for the Norse god Odin was jolnir, which basically means “yule man”. I don’t believe there’s truly much associated between Odin and winter holidays, but I rolled with it anyway! I copied an image from a medieval manuscript and added some old norse runes in the top and some hand carved lettering. The plate was easy-carve and this was my first time using oil-based inks (looks so much nicer)!
